GAME 1 | MSU Denver 12, CSU Pueblo 3
In Sunday's opener, the Roadrunners offense exploded for 19 hits and scored 12 runs, including scoring nine runs on 10 hits in the first two innings off of freshman
Luke Ruby (Fort Collins, Colo./Resurrection Christian), who was making his second straight start in RMAC play and third overall start of the season and redshirt freshman pitcher
Caden English (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield).
CSU Pueblo finished the first game with eight hits, but was held to just three runs. One of those eight hits was recorded by senior first baseman
Reggie Williams (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) to extend his hit streak to 26 consecutive games. Three of the Pack's eight hits went for extra bases as they hit two home runs in the game and also added a double from senior leftfielder
Zac Hanenberg (Cañon City, Colo./Cañon City).
The Roadrunners sent 10 hitters to the plate in the bottom of the first inning and scored five runs off of six hits and a Pack error and then tallied four runs on four hits in the bottom of the second to take a 9-0 lead in the game. The big hits in the inning by MSU Denver were 2-run homers hit by both Jake Williams and Zach Schuler off of English, who replaced Ruby with two outs in the first.
Trailing 9-0, the Pack would get on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth thanks to a one-out solo home run from junior designated hitter
Christian Casteneda (El Paso, Texas/Otero JC) off of MSU Denver starting hurler Jack Slominski.
The Roadrunners, though, would get that run back in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a solo home run by Cam Yuran off of redshirt junior
Edwing Corrales (Delicias, Mexico/Otero JC), who was the third Pack pitcher of the game.
MSU Denver pushed its lead to 11-1 in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an RBI double by Cody Schultz off of sophomore hurler
Frank Wierman (Surprise, Ariz./Shadow Creek), who was the fifth pitcher of the game for the Pack.
The Pack would add a run to its tally in the eighth thanks to an RBI single off the bat of sophomore third baseman
Kysen Howard (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest).
MSU Denver scored its 12th run of the game in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI single by Colin Stone off of redshirt freshman
Cole Bloomer (Arapahoe, Colo./Lamar CC), who was the sixth pitcher of the game for the Pack.
Redshirt junior second baseman
Cole Knightley (Solvang, Calif./Santa Ynez) capped the scoring on his solo home run in the top of the ninth. The homer was the first of Knightley's collegiate career.

GAME 2 | MSU Denver 13, CSU Pueblo 2 (7 innings)
Meanwhile, in the nightcap, the Roadrunners offense scored 13 runs on nine hits and two Pack errors to collect the win and earn the four-game sweep of the series. The Roadrunners scored 40 runs in the four games of the series, including tallying double-digit runs over the final three games.
While MSU Denver had nine hits in the nightcap, the Pack offense finished with just five hits, including a 2-for-4 effort at the plate from senior centerfielder
Noah Hennings (Draper, Utah/Southern Idaho).
One Pack player that did not record a hit in the nightcap was Williams as he held hitless for just the second time this season to snap his 26-game hitting streak. Williams, though, did keep his streak of getting on base intact as he walked with two outs in the seventh. Williams has now reached base in all 31 games this season and has a current streak of 76 consecutive games dating to last season of reaching base.
After neither team scored in the opening inning, the Roadrunners would send 10 hitters to the plate in the bottom of the second and score six runs on two hits and two Pack errors to take a 6-0 lead in the game off of Pack junior starter
Nick Perry (Denton, Texas/Richland JC), who had his shortest start of the season as he lasted just 1.1 innings.
Perry (2-2) allowed two hits and five runs (four earned), while walking three and failing to record a strikeout for the first time this season in six appearances.
The Roadrunners pushed its lead to 9-0 in the bottom of third thanks to a 2-run double by Zach Paschke and a passed ball by Pack senior catcher
Brady Prewitt (Raytown, Mo./Iowa Western CC).
MSU Denver added two more runs in the fifth off of junior reliever
Dylan Weaver (Fruita, Colo./Highland CC) to push its lead to 11-0. Weaver was the third and final pitcher of the game for the Pack.
The Pack would prevent a shutout in the sixth thanks to back-to-back home runs by Hennings and Prewitt to drop MSU Denver's lead to 11-2. The homers by Hennings and Prewitt were both their team-high tying fourth of the season.
MSU Denver would add two runs to its lead in the bottom of the sixth thanks to another passed ball by Prewitt and a sacrifice fly by Paschke.
In the seventh, Williams drew a two-out walk from reliever Ryan DePew to keep his on-base streak going, but Hennings would line out to left to end the game.
Stone had three of his team's nine hits in the nightcap, while Yuran added two hits and scored two runs in the win.
Carson Brown (3-1) earned the win for the Roadrunners on the mound as he tossed five shutout innings and allowed three hits, while walking two and fanning six.
The Pack left six runners on base in the nightcap, while MSU Denver stranded five runners on base.
Perry, sophomore
Jacob Petersheim (Broadway, Va./Broadway) and Weaver combined to walk seven hitters in the game and record just three strikeouts, with two of those coming from Petersheim in his 2.2 innings of work in relief of Perry.
