PUEBLO, Colo. (February 19, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team dropped a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games against Regis, falling 7-3 in game one and in the series finale, the Pack fell 13-0 (5 inn.) on Sunday at Rawlings Sports Complex.
Madelyn Huerta (Fr., Azusa, Calif.),
Caitlyn Cole (Fr., Merced, Calif.) and
Seaerra Fuentes Arellano (Sr., Ewa Beach, Hawai'i) each recorded a hit on the day.
In game one, CSU Pueblo scored all three runs in the fourth inning on a 2-run triple by Cole and she scored on a throwing error from the catcher.
Starting in the circle,
Lucy Carney (So., Lakewood, Colo.) was tagged for six runs and three earned in 2.2 innings of work.
In relief,
Marika Spector (Jr., Wimberley, Tex.) gave up one run and three hits to the Rangers in 4.1 innings pitched.
During the series finale, CSU Pueblo was unable to find their offense and was held to one hit against the Rangers' Alexis Kemp.
Fuentes Arellano singled in the fifth inning to avoid the no-hit bid.
CSU Pueblo (6-5, 1-3 RMAC) remains home next week and hosts Colorado Christian in a four-game series starting Friday at Noon at Rawlings Sports Complex.
