Game 1 | San Francisco State 2, CSU Pueblo 1
In Saturday's opener, the Pack saw the Gators (6-1) score runs in the seventh and ninth innings to post its second come-from-behind win the series as SFSU opened the series with a 3-1 win on Friday after scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth.
The Pack jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the opener thanks to an RBI groundout by redshirt senior shortstop
Trey Vasquez (Greeley, Colo./Dodge City CC). Vasquez's grounder scored senior first baseman
Reggie Williams (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County), who opened the inning by drawing a walk, before moving to second on an error and advancing to third on a bunt before scoring with two outs.
Junior
Tyler Curtis (0-1) would then take over on the mound as through the first six innings, he allowed just two hits, no runs and struck out four, before SFSU would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI triple off the bat of Gavin Haimovitz, which plated Kody Gardner, who had reached on a two-out double.
After both teams left a runner on base in the eighth, Curtis would open the bottom of the ninth by getting the first out on a grounder, but he hit the next hitter, Michael Cunningham, with a pitch and Cunningham moved to third on a single down the right field line by Nick Upstill and after Gardner was walked intentionally to load the bases, Haimovitz would end the game on his ground ball to Sanchez at short. Haimovitz's grounder scored Cunningham with the winning run.
Curtis pitched 8.2 innings and allowed six hits and two runs (two earned runs), while walking one and striking out five.
Haimovitz's grounder made a winner of Andrew Silva (1-1), who was the third pitcher of the game for the Gators. Silva tossed one inning and struck out one and walked none.
Both teams recorded six hits in the game as sophomore leftfielder
Elijah Borjas (Denver, Colo./Lakewood) had two hits in three at-bats for the Pack. The other hits by the Pack came from Williams, junior catcher

In the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader, San Francisco State's offense exploded for 12 hits and scored multiple runs in both the first and fifth innings to take the second game of the doubleheader and improve to 3-0 in the series.
Much like Saturday's opening game, the Pack would score first in the nightcap as Vasquez brought home the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly to right that allowed Prewitt to score. Prewitt had reached on a fielder's choice, before moving to second on a single by Borjas and then both runners advanced a base on a wild pitch.
The Gators would use five hits and a Pack error to plate three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-1 lead. It was the first time in the series that the Gators had scored prior to the seventh inning.
CSU Pueblo would pull within 3-2 in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Howard, which plated Vasquez, who had reached on a lead-off single to open the inning.

The Pack would get one of the those runs back in the top of seventh on an RBI single to left off the bat of junior second baseman
Joseph Quintana (Golden, Colo./Erskine) that plated freshman rightfielder
Jeremiah Sanchez (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo West). Quintana's single scored Sanchez, who opened the inning with a single to left.
