PUEBLO, Colo. (February 1, 2023) – Colorado State University Pueblo first-year head football coach
Philip Vigil has announced the addition to 43 new student-athletes that signed National Letters of Intent during National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The newcomers will join the ThunderWolves' football program for the 2023 season.
"I am extremely excited to welcome this class to the Pack. We've hit the ground running as a staff and have put together an amazing class full of great students and athletes," said Vigil about his first recruiting class at CSU Pueblo. "I believe that when parents and prospective student athletes got on campus they were excited to see the foundation that was laid by Coach Wristen and his staff, but also the new vision and direction of the program. These student athletes will be great representatives of Colorado State University Pueblo for many years to come."

The ThunderWolves' 2023 recruiting class includes 17 players from the state of Colorado, along with 10 from Texas, nine from California and four from Arizona. In addition, Vigil and his coaching staff added three transfers – fifth-year senior quarterback Chance Fuller from Fort Hays State University, senior transfer running back Adrian Soto from Fort Hays State and junior college offensive lineman Christopher Soderlund from American River College in California.
Among the position break down of the recruiting class there are 14 defensive backs, nine offensive linemen, nine defensive linemen, four wide receivers, three quarterbacks, three linebackers, two running backs, two tight ends and a kicker.
In 2022, CSU Pueblo posted an 8-4 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Pack closed the regular season by winning seven consecutive games and advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs where they fell in the first round to eventual Division II national runner-up Colorado School of Mines in
John Wristen's final season at the helm of the ThunderWolves' program.
All signees are contingent upon admission to CSU Pueblo and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
The 2023 CSU Pueblo Football Recruiting Class will be highlighted on Wednesday evening by Vigil and his staff at the Pueblo Country Club at CSU Pueblo's National Signing Day Event.

CHRIS ARVISO II, QB – 6-2, 170 / Mountain Pointe High School (Hometown: Laveen, Ariz.)
Lettered for three seasons at quarterback at Mountain Pointe High School … In his career, he recorded 4,800 total passing yards and had 41 passing touchdowns … Also gained 167 yards rushing and tallied seven rushing touchdowns … As a senior in 2022, played in 12 games and passed for 2,600 yards and had 25 touchdown passes and only four interceptions in 292 pass attempts … Rushed 28 times for 120 yards and scored four times on the ground … Also lettered in track & field at Mountain Pointe … Carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom and is undecided on a major.
ARREN BANKS, DB – 6-2, 195 / Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College (Hometown: Denver, Colo.)
Playing for Coach Tony Lindsey, Sr., Banks was a standout on both offense and defense with the Panthers … On offense, he caught 24 passes for 375 yards and had six touchdown receptions, while on defense, he collected four interceptions, had six pass break-ups, 37 total tackles and one fumble recovery … Was a member of the Panthers' Class 5A State Championship team in 2020 … Also lettered in track and field … In the classroom, he carries a 4.2 cumulative GPA … Expected to major in Computer Science.

CHANCE FULLER, QB – 6-2, 195 / Fort Hays State University (Hometown: Arlington, Texas)
Played the past five seasons, including starting two of those seasons at quarterback, at Fort Hays State (Kan.)
