PUEBLO, Colo. (October 19, 2023) - No. 5 Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer dropped its second match in a row Thursday, falling 2-0 against Westminster at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

Westminster scored two second half goals and made five shots in the match. For the Pack, Caio Oliveira (Sr., Espigao, d'Oeste, Brazil) and Gabriel Campora (Sr., Saltillo, Mexico) each recorded two shots in the effort.

In the game, CSU Pueblo recorded ten shots and had three shots on goal.

The first half had both teams exchange possession on each side of the pitch and the Pack's first shot came during the 9th minute after the first corner. In the 16th minute, the Pack earned another corner and a shot from Oliveira was saved by the Griffins goalkeeper.

The Pack registered another corner with less than a minute to play in the first half.

In the second period, CSU Pueblo surrendered the first goal in the 62' after miscommunication inside the box from the ThunderWolves, allowed for the Griffins to find the loose ball and put the ball inside the right post for the one goal lead.

The Pack was able to get two more scoring chances that was saved by Westminster goalkeeper Roark Looney.

The visiting team was able to find the back of the net again during the 78th minute after another scramble in front of the net resulted in another Griffins goal.

CSU Pueblo went on the attack over the final ten minutes and managed one shot on goal before the final horn sounded.

Pack goalkeeper Tristan Whitlock (So., Lincoln, Neb.) allowed two goals and made one save.

CSU Pueblo (11-3-1, 5-2-0 RMAC) returns to action Sunday and welcomes No. 18 Colorado Mesa for a RMAC battle starting at 2:30 PM and following the women's game at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
