LAKEWOOD, Colo. (October 1, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team finished its weekend playing to a 0-0 draw at Colorado Christian on Sunday at Trailblazer Stadium.
The ThunderWolves outshot the Cougars 14-9 and were led by
Ashley Bennett (So., Lakeville, Minn.) with her seven shots and three landing on goal.
Cortney Cowles (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and
Allyson Sparks (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) both recorded two shots and two others fired one shot.
CSU Pueblo used a well-balanced attack and made six shots in the first half and followed up with eight shots in the second period.
The ThunderWolves offense played well in the second half, earning four corners in the half and six for the game.

Nicole Genis (Sr., San Jose, Costa Rica) had a strong outing and made two saves to preserve the shutout.
Over the last ten minutes, the ThunderWolves offense created several scoring chances and made three shots and earned three corners in that time but was unable to find the net.
CSU Pueblo (2-2-5, 0-1-3 RMAC) returns home this week and welcomes Western Colorado on Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
