LUBBOCK, Tex. (Sept. 8, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team played in their first road game of the season and fell 3-1, Thursday at Lubbock Christian.
Faith Meredith scored during the 26th minute for the Pack.
In the match, CSU Pueblo finished with 8 shots and four corners.
During the first period, the ThunderWolves recorded three shots and was led by
Drew Morby with her two shots.
Through the first half, CSU Pueblo earned two corners against three from LCU.
Starting in the second period, the Pack defense was faced with aggressive play by the Chaparrals and guarded against a quick shot moments into the second half.
The ThunderWolves managed a pair of shots at the net that both sailed high and wide of the net.
In the 55th minute and following a foul at midfield, Lubbock Christian drove the ball down field and evened the score at 1-1 when they managed to get past the ThunderWolves defense and hit the show low and inside the post.
Over the next eight minutes of play, LCU fired four shots and in the 63' they intercepted the ball at midfield and the Lady Chaps passed the ball ahead and between the defense and connected on a goal to take a 2-1 lead.
Over the final 20 minutes, CSU Pueblo's offense managed one corner kick and three shots with one landing on frame.

Nicole Genis made seven saves against 19 total shots.
CSU Pueblo (1-4) will close out the weekend with a Saturday matinee matchup at No. 14 West Texas A&M, kickoff is slated for Noon (MT).
