CANYON, Tex. (Sept. 10, 2022) - Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer closed out its nonconference schedule Saturday at No. 14 West Texas A&M, falling to the Lady Buffs 3-0.

CSU Pueblo recorded five shots in the match and held the match scoreless for most of the first half. In the first period, the ThunderWolves defense played well and helped to fend off an aggressive attack by WT.

The home team got on the board during the 40' and hit the bottom right of the goal for the one goal lead.

At the half, CSU Pueblo's offense had two shots and a pair of corner kick attempts.

Entering the second period, West Texas added two goals in the first six minutes and built a 3-0 lead.

Through the second period, the Pack was held to three shots and one corner kick.

CSU Pueblo (1-5) will look to get back in the win column when they return home next Friday and begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play against Fort Lewis on Jersey Day starting at 7 p.m. at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
