PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 4, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team wrapped up its season opening four-game homestand Sunday against St. Edward's University, falling 3-1 against the Hilltoppers at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The ThunderWolves received a late-match goal from
Victoria Mitrick who hit a one-timer in to the higher third of the net to help the Pack avoid the shutout.
In the match, CSU Pueblo started the match one step ahead of the Hilltoppers on both sides of the ball and within the first two minutes of action, earned two corners and fired a pair of shots.

Mitrick and Co. got possession during the 87' and she was fed a pass ahead by
Jordin Schaller and Mitrick was able to finish for the score.
The Pack managed two shots in the second half and six total for the game. St. Edward's finished ahead 7-3 on corner kicks.
Six CSU Pueblo players recorded one shot.
CSU Pueblo (1-3) will hit the road for the first time this season when they travel to the Lone Star State for matchups against Lubbock Christian (Sept. 8) and West Texas A&M (Sept. 10). The Pack return home the following week, Sept. 16 and begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play versus Fort Lewis.
