BILLINGS, Mont. (Sept. 1, 2022) - The No. 23 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team earned its first clean sheet of the season Thursday, defeating Montana State Billings 1-0 behind solid performance on the defensive side.
The ThunderWolves scored the lone goal of the match during the 65th minute on a laser shot from
Reggie Nicolas (Jr., Palm Bay, Fla.) after receiving a pass from
Gabriel Campora (Jr., Saltilla, Mexico), breaking the scoreless affair.
Offensively CSU Pueblo totaled 15 shots with nine landing on frame while on the defensive side of the ball, the Pack limited the Yellow Jackets to two shots in the game.
CSU Pueblo recorded six corners including four in the first half. The ThunderWolves were the more aggressive team throghout the match and was led by Nicolas' game-high six shots.

Oliver Twelvetrees. "It was important for Reggie to score his first goal and he was electric today creating a lot of opportunities for his team and himself."
In the net,
Nils Roth (Jr., Thun, Switzerland) made one save and was able to stand tall for majority of the match with the defense holding strong.
The active offensive attack resulted in eight saves made by the MSU Billings goalkeeper.
Twelvetrees added, "I am excited to keep building our chemistry and cohesion together."
CSU Pueblo (2-1) will stay in Billings for a neutral contest against Northwest Nazarene on Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Yellow Jacket Soccer Field.
