COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 31, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team was picked to finish third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches Poll released Wednesday.

The ThunderWolves earned 91 total points and one first-place vote. They sit behind University of Colorado Colorado Springs who was picked to win the conference with 110 total points and 3 first-place votes. Closely behind is Colorado Christian who racked up 109 total points and earned seven first-place votes.

CSU Pueblo return four players from last season, along with the addition of two freshmen.

"I think this group has the potential to shock the West Region this year," said Pack Head Coach Josh Koschke. "We will need some good breaks every now and again with a very young group but the personnel to be successful is here."

Koschke adds, "I look forward to seeing this group grow as teammates and competitors, we need to be hungry like great teams of the past here to totally overwhelm their opponents."

Colorado Mesa was picked fourth with 83 total points and one first-place vote.

In fifth place is MSU Denver (78 points) followed by, Regis (73), Westminster (71), Chadron State (64), Fort Lewis (41), and South Dakota Mines (28) rounding out the top ten.

Black Hills State (26) and Adams State (18) finished in 11th and 12th place, respectively.

CSU Pueblo will hit the links for the first time in 2022 on Sept. 12-13, when they travel to Denver to participate in The Swan Memorial, hosted by Colorado Christian.
