ThunderWolves fall to Montevallo, 16-12

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. (March 25, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo men's lacrosse team lost to Montevallo 16-12 in a neutral game contest played at Westminster.
 
The Falcons scored the first four goals of the game before Matt Lutz (Jr., Austin, Texas) put the ThunderWolves on the board at the 4:16 mark. Aryan Krause (So., Auror, Colo.) scored a goal right before the end of the quarter as the Falcons took control of the game early, 5-2.
 
The second was a defensive battle as both teams struggled to find the back of the net. The ThunderWolves managed to get three goals from Cameron Hancock (Jr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.), Logan Naves (So., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Boston Dumas (Sr., Ogden, Utah) while holding Montevallo to two goals on the quarter to walk in to halftime with an 8-5 lead.
 
The Falcons were able to add six more goals in the third quarter to the ThunderWolves two to take a 14-7 lead, their biggest of the game.
 
The ThunderWolves were able to put together six goals in the fourth, but Montevallo scored two in the fourth to hold on for a 16-12 win over the Pack.
 
Krause continues to be a menace on the offensive side of the ball for the ThunderWolves as the sophomore tallied a team-high four goals of five shots while Naves and Hancock finished with three goals a piece. Ian Noonan (Jr., Wilmington, Del.) finished with a team-high three assists.
 
The ThunderWolves will be back in action on Sunday for a non-conference matchup at Westminster at noon.
