DURANGO, Colo. (March 19, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team split its opening doubleheader at Fort Lewis Saturday, winning game one 6-5 and dropping game two, 6-4 at FLC's Aspen Field.

The Skyhawks put up three runs in their half of the fourth to get within one run, 5-4.

CSU Pueblo tacked on another run in the sixth off an RBI-double from Griego.

FLC added a run in the home half of the sixth.

In the seventh, with the Pack ahead by two, CSU Pueblo starting pitcher Taylor Strupp (Sr., San Tan Valley, Ariz.) allowed the tying run to get into scoring position before slamming the door and come away with the 6-5 victory. Strupp improves to 5-2 on the season.
