PUEBLO, Colo. (November 18, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo men's basketball team used a well-balanced attack and had seven players finish in double-figures en route to a 113-68 win over Spurgeon College on the first day of the 38th Annual Al Kaly Shrine Classic.
Lian Ramiro led the ThunderWolves with 18 points off the bench and
Isaiah Thompson finished with eleven rebounds.
In the game, CSU Pueblo went wire-to-wire with a lead and shot 56.9% from the field and included going 22-of-31 at the charity stripe.Â
The ThunderWolves finished with 62 points in the paint and the bench stepped up and added 61 points.
CSU Pueblo forced 16 turnovers and scored thirty points off those turnovers.
The Pack defense recorded ten steals and was led by Noble Robinson and his three takeaways.
Sam Howery led the team with five assists and Robinson and
Moses Demalek each totaled four assists for the Pack who finished with 23 dimes.
The ThunderWolves took a 53-28 lead into the break and the offense continued to fire in the second half and scored 60 points and the defense held the Knights to 40 points in the final period.
CSU Pueblo (3-0) will close the Al Kaly Classic on Saturday with a matchup against Bacone College starting at 7 p.m. inside Massari Arena.
