PUEBLO, Colo. (November 13, 2022) – Colorado State University Pueblo pulled out a close affair with South Central region opponent Cameron University, with the ThunderWolves emerging victorious with a 76-75 win Saturday at Massari Arena.
Junior guard
Makiah Morris led all players with 25 points. Including Morris, four players scored in double figures.
Finishing the first half with a 29-27 lead, the Pack shot 31% from the field and were backed by steady shots from the line as they were 9-for-12 on free throws.
It was the second-half surge of three-pointers for the Pack that proved to help be the difference in the win as they shot 41% from beyond the arc as compared to their 13% in the first half.
Cameron had both a chance to tie the game and take the lead in the last seconds but a missed free throw and solid play on the defensive side helped keep the Aggies off the board.
Lian Ramiro scored on a fast break with 37 seconds left in the game that proved to be the game-winner. Ramiro finished with 16 points and
Moses Demalek ended with six points and six assists for the ThunderWolves.
