PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 7, 2022) - No. 7 Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer remained unbeaten in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play after its high powered offense scored a 3-1 victory over Fort Lewis on Friday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
CSU Pueblo received scores from
Gabriel Campora (14') and
Reggie Nicolas (78', 84').
The Pack recorded 16 shots led by Campora and Nicolas' three shots apiece. CSU Pueblo created numerous chances at the net and earned four corners in the match.
The ThunderWolves got on the board first during the 14th minute when Campora scored his 10th goal of the season.
Caio Oliveira passed in a ball from the right and Campora settled the ball and hit the top of the net.
The Pack carried the one goal lead into intermission. At the break, CSU Pueblo had tallied eight shots and two corners.
In the second half, CSU Pueblo's defense overpowered the Skyhawks and kept the scoring chances minimal.
Fort Lewis evened the match in the 61st minute.
The Pack regained the lead in the 78th minute after
Fernando Herrera fired a shot that was saved by the FLC goalkeeper and Nicolas took the deflected ball and struck the back of the net for the score.
Moments later, Nicolas and Co. again carried possession into Skyhawks territory and
Ricardo Schroeder hit a cross pass inside the box to Nicolas and once he gathered the ball, hit a shot past the diving keeper for the two-goal advantage.

CSU Pueblo (10-2-1, 4-0-1 RMAC) will return to the pitch and welcome Adams State on Sunday at 3 p.m. for Senior Day at Gonzales Stadium.
