PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 22, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo football team win streak reached four games after the ThunderWolves brought down Chadron State Eagles 34-12 Saturday at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Redshirt-Sophomore
Andrew Cook set a career-high with four touchdown receptions all in the second half and totaled 159 receiving yards.
CSU Pueblo erupted for 28 points in the second half after playing to a 6-6 tie at the half.
Cook was on the receiving end of a game-long 63 yard pass from quarterback
Hunter Raquet. The duo connected four times for completions of 63, 12, 31 and 10-yard touchdown receptions.
Offensively, the ThunderWolves finished with 443 yards of offense and earned 19 first downs in the game.
Raquet scored on a three yard touchdown run and in the passing game, he finished 17-of-27 and collected 333 passing yards to go with his five touchdowns on offense.
Max Fine led the receiving corps with seven receptions and earned 146 receiving yards.
On the ground,
Austin Bacher gained 55 yards on 14 carries for a 4.6 yards per carry average.
Defensively, the duo of
Trey Botts and
Cory McLellan each finished with eight tackles. McLellan ended with three solo tackles and one pass breakup, while Botts had two solo takedowns and two QB hurries.
Daniel Bone had an interception for the Pack and returned it for 33 yards.
On special teams,
Jon Lujan booted three punts good for 128 total yards and 42.7 average.
CSU Pueblo (5-3, 4-2 RMAC) will go on the road next week and play at Colorado Mesa Saturday at 1 p.m. in Grand Junction.
