PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 2, 2022) - The No. 15 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference play after a 2-0 shutout win over Regis on Sunday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The Pack received both goals from
Lamar Bynum who was successful on a penalty kick late in the first half and he scored goal number two less than six minutes into the second half.
CSU Pueblo totaled 13 shots in the match and recorded six corners.
The Pack defense was stellar in fending off 10 shots by Regis and allowing two shots to land on goal.
Nils Roth recorded two saves in full time at the net.
"Really tough second game of teh weekend against a quality team that we have struggled with since I have been here," said Pack Head Coach
Oliver Twelvetrees. To get the clean sheet shots how impressive we were defensively. Nils and his back 4 were excellent collectively limiting their high powered offense to mostly shots from outside the box."
"Lamar was brilliant today and deserved his goals to help us get an important 3 conference points."
CSU Pueblo (9-2-1, 3-0-1 RMAC) remains home next week and welcomes Fort Lewis on Friday at 7 p.m. to Gonzales Stadium.
