COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 17, 2022) – Junior forward Alisha Davis nabbed her third Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Week honor for the Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball team, as announced by the league Monday. Davis was honored as the Defensive Player of the Week for the conference.

This is the second straight week a Pack player has been recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week award.

The transfer junior from Aurora, Colo. has now been awarded two defensive player of the week honors and one offensive player of the week award after the Monday announcement from the RMAC. The award is the ThunderWolves' fifth Player of the Week honor during the 2021-22 campaign.

Davis had an explosive weekend on both sides of the ball but wreaked havoc in the defensive realm. The forward nabbed four steals and tallied two blocks to her line on Friday night as the Pack soared to an 80-59 victory over New Mexico Highlands. She tacked on seven rebounds and 18 points to round-out a domineering performance.

The next night at UCCS, Davis was a menace once more. The forward compiled four blocks on the Mountain Lions and notched another steal. Her night was not done there, as the junior then pulled down 12 total rebounds and was responsible for 16 points scored.

11 of the 12 rebounds totaled by Davis in the 53-34 win over UCCS were off the defensive boards.

Davis is now fourth in the RMAC with 17 total blocks while only making eight appearances in the 15 games played by the CSU Pueblo women's team. She leads the Pack in blocks and blocks per game (2.1).

With the Defensive Player of the Week honor, CSU Pueblo has the second most honors of any team in the conference this year at five. Davis' three honors thus far is the second-most for any individual in the RMAC.

The ThunderWolves (12-3) sit second in the RMAC standings after the pair of wins thanks to an 8-1 league record.
