COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 10, 2022) – Senior JaNaiya Davis earned her second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Week honor, as announced by the league Monday afternoon. This is Davis' first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the 2021-22 season.

Davis (Sr., Hewitt, Texas) was a menace for offenses in last week's wins over Adams State and South Dakota School of Mines. The senior point guard tallied four steals in the 60-point rout over Adams State and tacked on another four in the nail-biting 63-60 victory over South Dakota Mines.

On top of zipping over the floor and nabbing steals from the opposition, Davis also recorded a total of 20 rebounds with 18 coming off the defensive boards. The 12 rebounds tallied against South Dakota Mines gave Davis and the Pack their first double-double of the season after she dropped 12 points to go along with the stellar defense.

Davis' strong week that featured eight steals allowed her to eclipse the 200 mark on her career. The 20 rebounds bumped the senior in the top-20 in CSU Pueblo school history at 499 through 83 games played.

The ThunderWolves are 10-3 overall following the dominant week and look forward to back-to-back RMAC contests this weekend against New Mexico Highlands and UCCS on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
