PUEBLO, Colo. (April 30, 2021) - Colorado State University Pueblo's Nicole Genis (So., San Jose, Costa Rica) and Kodee Martin (Sr., Platte City, Mo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.

Genis was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in her first season with the Pack. She earned RMAC Tournament MVP after she helped guide the Pack to the first RMAC Championship in program history after she made 25 saves in three RMAC Tournament games including two big saves during a shootout in both the semifinal and final rounds.

Genis made her postseason debut last Tuesday at Regis and made seven saves in a 2-0 Pack shutout win.

In the semifinals against No. 25 Colorado School of Mines, Genis again stood tall and held the Orediggers scoreless and made 12 saves against the potent Mines lineup. The ThunderWolves battled Mines to a scoreless affair through two overtimes and taking the game into a shootout.

Genis made the save in the first shot from Mines. The ThunderWolves would connect on four of their attempts, advancing to the Championship game.

In Sunday's Championship against Westminster at UCCS' Mountain Lion Stadium, Genis allowed two goals in the first half to the Griffins and would become a brick wall in the second half and overtime periods.

The ThunderWolves offense evened the score and Genis made six saves against eight shots on goal and 25 in the match by Westminster.

Playing in their second shootout in as many games, Genis made the game winning save in Westminster's second attempt and the ThunderWolves went a unblemished in their five shots to secure the 5-4 PK win and the RMAC title.

On the men's side, Martin went 8-for-13 at the plate and recorded two doubles, a triple, five runs and 3 RBI for the ThunderWolves against Colorado Christian.

Martin went 3-for-6 in the series opener with two XBH.

In game two Saturday, Martin collected four more hits, scored two runs and tallied 3 RBI in the Pack's 11-6 win.
