PUEBLO, Colo. (March 27, 2021) - Colorado State University Pueblo softball dropped a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games against Colorado Christian University, falling 15-2 (5 inn.) in game one and falling in the nightcap 9-5.
On the day,
Isabel Griego (Jr., Loveland, Colo.) collected three hits and freshman
Katelynn Ralston (Colorado Springs, Colo.) hit her second homerun of the season in the fifth inning of game two.
CSU Pueblo totaled 12 hits and smacked three extra base hits.
Sabrina Felix (Sr., Corona, Calif.),
Marissa Piatt (Sr., San Luis Obispo, Calif.),
Melissa Torrez (Jr., Buena Park, Calif.) each hit a double.
In game one, Colorado Christian used a 8-run second inning to get past the ThunderWolves.
Game two, CSU Pueblo found themselves down 7-1 after three innings before the offense started to chip away at the lead.
In the fifth, Ralston hit her solo shot with one out. The sixth inning saw back-to-back doubles from Felix and Torrez.
In their last at bat, the ThunderWolves managed a single but would end the game on a groundout.
CSU Pueblo (7-7, 4-6 RMAC) will finish the series on Sunday with another twin bill scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at Rawlings Sports Complex.
