DURANGO, Colo. (February 20, 2021) – Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball and Fort Lewis College battled until the final minutes of their clash Saturday, but the game eventually tilted in favor of the Skyhawks who won it 63-60.
Game Recap:
The Skyhawks opened the game on a 10-3 run. The Pack (3-13, 3-13 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) erased this deficit and tied it at 20 after one. The second quarter stayed close throughout as the Skyhawks led 30-27 at the break.
Fort Lewis (6-9, 6-9 RMAC) led by as many seven in the quarter. They opened their lead to nine at 51-42 with 7:43 left in the fourth. The Pack fought back and tied it at 57 with 1:54 left in regulation. Three points from
Sydni Williams (Sr., Little Rock, Ark) put the Pack up 60-59 with 18 seconds.
The Skyhawks scored a jumper in just five second, taking a 61-60 lead with 13 seconds left. The Pack tried for a game-winning shot, but could not sink it. The Skyhawks hit a pair of free throws to close out a 63-60 win.
Individual Highlights:
Jalen Long (So ., Moreno Valley, Calif.) led the Pack with 13 points. Long also added a career-high five steals. Long went 5-of-14 from range 3-of-10 from deep.
Kansas Watts (Jr., Houston, Texas) continued her hot streak with 10 points. Watts made 3-of-4 from the field and 4-of-5 at the line. Over her last three games, Watts has made 12-of-16 from the field (75.0 percent). She is also 10-of-12 at the line (83.3. percent) over that span. She has reached double figures in three straight games.
JaNaiya Davis (Jr., Waco, Texas) scored 10 points. Davis added four assists and five rebounds.
Aubriana Noti (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) also finished with 10 points. Noti made 4-of-8 from the field. She also swatted two blocks and came away with two steals.
In a balanced attack,
Jazzy Hughes (Sr., Tucson, Ariz.) totaled nine points. added eight points. She finished with a team-high seven rebounds.
Notes:
The Skyhawks made 46.2 percent from the field compared to 34.9 percent for the Pack.

The Pack hosts Adams State University Monday Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Massari Arena. This game will serve as a make up game for a contest originally scheduled for Jan. 5.
