Pack’s Five-game Road Trip Wraps Up at WCU & FLC

PUEBLO, Colo. (February 18, 2021) – Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball wraps up its five-game road trip with visits to Western Colorado University Friday and Fort Lewis College Saturday. The Pack plays the Mountaineers at 5:30 and the Skyhawks at 4 p.m. in this pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference showdowns.

Starting 5 – The Top 5 CSU-Pueblo storylines
1. The ThunderWolves knocked off Colorado Christian University Tuesday 70-51. The Pack outscored the Cougars 33-16 in the second half. They only surrendered six points in the fourth quarter. The Pack set a season-high with 47 rebounds in this victory over the Cougars. They held a 47-26 advantage on the glass.  The Pack improved to 3-11 with this win.
 
2. Aubriana Noti (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned her third double-double of the season against the Cougars. Noti scored 13 points while adding 10 rebounds. She now has a double-double in two of her last three games. Noti's other double-double came against the Skyhawks Jan. 22. Noti ranks fifth in the RMAC with 7.1 rebounds per game.
 
3. JaNaiya Davis (Jr., Waco, Texas) continues to advance up the program's all-time leaderboards.  Davis sits just six points shy of 900 for her career. She would be just the 20th player in program history to reach this plateau. Davis ranks fifth in program history with 320 career assists. With 170 career steals, Davis needs just eight steals to enter the program's top 10.

4. Kansas Watts (Jr., Houston, Texas) scored a season-high 12 points in the win over the Cougars. Watts has made 80.0 percent from the field over her last two contests. Sydni Williams (Sr., Little Rock, Ark.) leads the Pack with 13.3 points per game. She has scored double-digit points in six of her last seven games.
 
5. Davis averages a RMAC-best 3.2 steals per game. She ranks fifth in D-II in steals per game. Davis leads the RMAC with 5.6 assists per game, 17th-most in D-II. The Pack's point guard averaged 0.9 assists per game more than any other player in the RMAC.  Davis' 38.3 minutes per game also lead the RMAC and rank sixth in D-II.
 
Scouting Western Colorado:
2020-21 Record: The Mountaineers stand 11-2 overall with a 10-2 record in RMAC play. They lost their last game to Colorado School of Mines 63-59 Feb. 13.

Series History: The Pack leads the all-time series with the Mountaineers 45-30. Western Colorado has won the last two meetings after knocking off the Pack 83-73 earlier this season.  Davis had 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in this game.
 
Player to Watch:  Hannah Cooper leads the Mountaineers with 16.3 points per game.  She ranks fourth in the RMAC with 3.8 assists per game.

Scouting Fort Lewis:
2020-21 Record: The Skyhawks bring a 4-9 record into the weekend. They have lost their last five games. Fort Lewis lost to Adams State 70-55.

Series History: The Pack leads the all-time series with the Skyhawks 48-38. Fort Lewis edged the Pack 57-52 Jan. 21. This was Fort Lewis' last win. Williams score 21 points in this game.

Player to Watch:  Jordan Vasquez averages a team-best 18.3 points per game. The Pack held Vasquez to a season-low four points. They are the only team to prevent Vasquez from reaching double-digits this season.
