Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (February 13, 2020) – Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball could not upset Westminster College Saturday as the Griffins secured a 74-64 win over the ThunderWolves at Behnken Arena.
Turning Point:
The Griffins (9-3, 9-3 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) used an 8-1 run in the first quarter to take a 13-5 lead. The Pack (2-11, 2-11 RMAC) inched back within one, making it 14-13 1:44 left in the first.
The Pack kept it a one-possession game early in the second, but the Griffins unleashed a 9-0 run that gave them a 31-20 lead. The Pack closed within five, but could not get back in front as the Griffins shot over 54.9 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from downtown. This hot-shooting performance propelled Westminster to the win.
Individual Highlights:
- Jalen Long (So., Moreno Valley, Calif.) scored a career-high 17 points. Long sank 5-of-9 shooting. She drained 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Long also made all three of her free throws attempts.
- Sydni Williams (Sr., Little Rock, Ark.) delivered 13 points. Williams also led the ThunderWolves with seven rebounds. She came away with three steals.

JaNaiya Davis (Jr., Waco, Texas) handed out five assists and led the Pack with four steals. Davis leads the RMAC in both categories. She also finished with eight points and five rebounds.

Kansas Watts (Jr., Houston, Texas) scored a season-high seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field. She added a block and a steal.

Jazzy Hughes (Sr., Tucson, Ariz.) and
Aubriana Noti (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) each added eight points. Hughes also dished out a career-high five assists.
