PUEBLO, Colo. (Nov. 19, 2021) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball dominated their way to an exhibition win over Fort Carson with a final score of 93-58 at the 2021 Al Kaly Classic.

The ThunderWolves dominated all the way throughout the game, showing off their speed, shooting ability, and defensive presence from the start. The first quarter featured four made 3-pointers in the opening three minutes.

Three of those made jumpers were featured from Morgan Dial who began a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arch.

After the first quarter, the Pack were already in strong control after one quarter of play and took command of a 24-13 lead.

The Fort Carson squad attempted to make a run in the beginning of the second. CSU Pueblo maintained a nine-point lead halfway through the second and continued to show physicality down low, not allowing points in the paint for extended minutes.

After the second, the Pack maintained a strong lead. The ThunderWolves went on a 19-2 run led by 10-17 shooting in the quarter. The Pack continued to dial in from 3-point land and held onto a 52-26 lead headed into the break.

The second half began with strong shooting performances from each side. After the midway media timeout, Fort Carson had scored 16 points to the Pack's 15 off a surplus of baskets from Alisha Davis.

Once again, the ThunderWolves mounted another strong run, this time a 12-2 finish the quarter. CSU Pueblo held onto a commanding 79-44 lead after three quarters.

From there on, it was the Pack coasting into victory lane. Fast breaks off Fort Carson turnovers turned into points the other way and stout defense prevented any miracle comeback from the opposition.

CSU Pueblo went on to cruise to a 93-58 exhibition win over Fort Carson in the home opening game.

Davis finished the domineering victory with 15 points and five rebounds and tacked on 2-3 shooting from behind the arch. Dial and Amaya Lewis closed the night with 14 points apiece while Lewis led the team with six rebounds off the bench.

Janaiya Davis tacked on seven assists on the night to help the offensive efforts while she turned it around on defense as well with three steals.

The Pack had eight different players drop eight or more points on the Fort Carson defense.
