ThunderWolves earn shutout win at Christian

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (October 28, 2021) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team took its talents north to Colorado Christian and came away with a 3-0 shutout victory Thursday at CCU's Trailblazer Stadium.

Madison Jepperson (Sr., Cottonwood Heights, Utah) (11'), Cara Siegel (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) (25') and Katie Bean (R-So., Bothell, Wash.) (35') each scored for the ThunderWolves.

The Pack got out to a fast start and found the back of the net after Jepperson scored on her second shot of the match. Jepperson now has four goals on the season.

In the match CSU Pueblo totaled 14 shots and seven landing on goal. The defense did their part and helped to fend off twelve shots by CCU.

The Pack earned one corner kick and was led offensively by Siegel and her four shots.

Pack goalkeeper Nicole Genis (R-So., San Jose, Costa Rica) earned the shutout at the net and made two saves.

With the win, the Pack currently have 25 conference points and have two games remaining in the regular season.

CSU Pueblo (9-5-1, 8-1-1 RMAC) remains on the road and will finish the week Sunday at No. 21 Mines. The ThunderWolves and Orediggers matchup is set for 12 p.m. at Stermole Stadium in Golden, Colo.
