PUEBLO, Colo. (March 9, 2020) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's lacrosse team closes the nonconference season Tuesday, March 10 at 4 p.m. when Ashland University visits the Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
THE PACK
CSU-Pueblo is 0-4 with a 0-2 record at home. The ThunderWolves return home after two games in Indianapolis where they suffered losses to No. 8 University of Indianapolis (22-3) and McKendree University (17-16).
Junior
Emily Eller leads the team with 11 goals and 11 points. Her 2.75 goals per game are good for third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference this season. She also leads the team with 14 draw controls. Eller's 11 ground balls are tied for second on the team and she adds seven caused turnovers, which is also tied for second.
Senior
Ali Doyle adds six goals and two assists for eight points. She has a .545 shooting percentage.
Senior
Morgan Monaghan owns a team-best 12 caused turnovers, which is a 3.0 caused turnovers per game average that ranks tied for second in the league.
Senior goalie
Ane Marie Horton leads NCAA Division II with 15.25 saves per game. She leads the team with 13 ground balls.
Junior
Olivia Tener grabbed the team's first RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season on March 3, as she netted three goals and added an assist in the loss to Davenport.
LAST TIME OUT
The CSU-Pueblo women's lacrosse team battled with McKendree University Sunday in a neutral site nonconference contest, but fell 17-16.
The ThunderWolves (0-4) totaled 32 shots with 25 on goal, while allowing 37 shots and 32 on frame. The Pack led with a 25-21 advantage in ground balls. CSU-Pueblo was successful in its clear attempts with an 85.7 percentage (18-for-21). The ThunderWolves also forced 21 Bearcat (3-2) turnovers and committed 17 of their own.
Junior
Emily Eller (A, Keller, Texas) netted a team-high four goals on eight shots. She led the team with four draw controls, while her four ground balls tied a team best. She also added a caused turnover.
Senior
Ali Doyle (A, Portland, Ore.) totaled three goals with one assist.
Freshman
Caira Lessick (M, Oregon City, Ore.) recorded two goals and added an assist. She gathered two ground balls and two draw controls.
Junior

Elyse Ingram (M, San Jose, Calif.) each added two goals.
Senior
Britney Smith (D, Oregon City, Ore.) tied for the team lead with four ground balls and tied with fellow senior defender
Morgan Monaghan (Dublin, Ohio) with three caused turnovers.
Senior goalie
Ane Marie Horton (Long Beach, Calif.) collected 15 saves.
SCOUTING ASHLAND
Ashland is 2-2 with a 1-1 road record. The Eagles are coming off a 1-1 home week with a win against Ursuline (Ohio), 20-10, and a loss to Notre Dame (Ohio), 19-8. Ashland averages 13.5 goals per game and has accumulated 54 goals. The Eagles are led by Sofia Michael's 21 goals and 27 points. She also leads the team with 28 draw controls. Goalie Melan White has started all four games between the pipes and has allowed 13.3 goals per game with a .415 save percentage. The Eagles were picked to finish fifth of six in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC).
