PUEBLO, Colo. (March 10, 2020) – Four members of Colorado State University-Pueblo women's lacrosse recorded four-plus points and eight student-athletes netted a goal in a 22-5 nonconference home victory against Ashland University, Tuesday at Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.Â

The ThunderWolves (1-4) totaled 35 shots with 30 landing on frame. The Pack collected 18 ground balls, while Ashland had 15. CSU-Pueblo had 15 draw controls, while the Eagles had 13.Â

Emily Eller (A, Keller, Texas) netted a career-high six goals and added four draw controls with two ground balls.

Ali Doyle (A, Portland, Ore.) collected six points with three goals and three assists. She added two ground balls with one caused turnover.Â

Olivia Tener (M, Boise, Id.) grabbed five points with four goals and an assist. She led the squad with six draw controls and added a caused turnover.Â

Elyse Ingram (M, San Jose, Calif.) also scored a hat trick and added one assist. She collected five draw controls.Â

Ashley Hendricks (Hood River, Ore.) got the start and netted two goals with two ground balls. Freshman
Nicole Caster (Beaverton, Ore.) scored twice off the bench.Â

Ane Marie Horton (Long Beach, Calif.) collected 11 saves and a team-best three ground balls in 45 minutes of action. Freshman goaltender
Madison Summers (Parker, Colo.) made her collegiate debut and added five saves with one goal allowed.

CSU-Pueblo scored twice in the first minute and a half on tallies from Tener and Doyle. Ashland scored next to cut the lead in half at 2-1, but the ThunderWolves went on to score the next four to lead 6-1 just 12 minutes into the contest. Four different players scored in the run.Â

The home team was leading 7-3 when CSU-Pueblo went on another four-goal run between the 16 and 12 minute marks to break open the game, 11-3. Eller scored twice in the run for her third and fourth goals of the contest.Â

The Eagles scored to break the run, but the Pack kept their foot on the gas to hold a 16-4 lead at the half. Eller scored again before the break, while Doyle and Tener recorded their hat tricks.Â

CSU-Pueblo scored seven straight goals in the second half to stretch their goal run to 11 unanswered tallies that spanned 38 minutes of game time. Freshman
Sedona Sargent (Bellingham, Wash.) scored her first collegiate goal in the second half.Â

The ThunderWolves won the second half 7-1 and that one goal came with just 10 seconds left in the game.Â

The contest was the final tune-up before beginning Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, March 18 in a 4 p.m. home game against No. 14 Regis University.Â
