PUEBLO, Colo. (January 30, 2020) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball will wrap up its four-game road trip with two contests in the Mount Rushmore State. The Pack will play Black Hills State University Friday at 5:30 p.m. and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Saturday at 4 p.m.

Starting 5 – The Top 5 CSU-Pueblo storylines
1. CSU-Pueblo will look to beat the Yellow Jackets for the second time in 13 days. The Pack knocked off Black Hills State 69-63 at Massari Arena Jan. 25. The ThunderWolves will also seek a measure of revenge against South Dakota Mines who beat the Pack Jan. 24. CSU-Pueblo is now 5-15 overall with a 4-11 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
2. The ThunderWolves rank 12th in D-II with 5.3 blocks per game. CSU-Pueblo's 106 total blocks is good for 11th nationally. In the Pack's last meeting with the Yellow Jackets, they swatted 13 blocks, the fourth-highest single-game total in the nation this season and three more than any team in the RMAC has mustered this season. The Pack has led the RMAC in blocks every year since 2015-16.

JaNaiya Davis (So., Hewitt, Texas) ranks fifth in the RMAC with 16.2 points per game. Davis also leads the RMAC with 4.6 assists per game. Davis ranks ninth in D-II with 38.0 minutes per game. She averages almost three minutes per game more than anyone else in the RMAC.

Sydni Williams (Jr., Little Rock, Ark.) ranks second in the RMAC with 1.7 blocks per game. Williams ranks fourth with 8.1 rebounds per game. Offensively, Williams averages 11.1 points per game. Williams has a block in 14 of her last 16 games.
5. The ThunderWolves have advanced to the RMAC Tournament for 17 consecutive seasons. This is the longest active streak in the RMAC. In order to preserve this streak, the ThunderWolves likely need at least one win if not two this weekend.
Scouting South Dakota Mines:
2019-20 Record: 10-9 (8-7 RMAC)
Series History: The Pack leads the all-time series 7-2. The ThunderWolves had won six straight meetings with SD Mines before losing to the Hardrockers 71-47 Jan. 24.
Player to Watch: Ryan Weiss leads the Hardrockers with 16.1 points per game. Weiss scored a team-high 24 points against the Pack earlier this season. She makes 45.5 percent from downtown and 88.7 percent from the line.
Scouting Black Hills State
2019-20 Record: 12-8 (9-6 RMAC)
Series History: The ThunderWolves lead the all-time series against the Yellow Jackets 15-4. CSU-Pueblo has won the last eight meetings including their 69-63 win at Massari Arena two weeks ago. Davis scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds in that game.
Player to Watch: Racquel Wientjes averages 16.9 points per game, second-most in the RMAC. Wientjes scored 28 points in a losing effort against the Pack Jan. 25. She is an 87.6 percent free throw shooter.
