Pitchers Duel tilts away from ThunderWolves in 10 innings

The Pack's biggest threat came in the first inning. Easton Adler (Sr., Mead, Colo.) led off the game with a double. Cody Beck (Jr., Brighton, Colo.) followed with a walk. Aidan Welch (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) dropped a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position. However, the Pack could not push the game's first run  across.

Reggie Williams (So., Castle Rock, Colo.) doubled to start the second inning. However, the Pack still could not bring him home.

The ThunderWolves threatened once again in the fifth  Adler walked and advanced to third on  a Beck base hit. However, Tigers starter Zach Berg left Adler stranded at third.

Fort Hays State threatened in the eighth. McIntyre got the first out before giving up a double. After McIntyre exited, JC Hatch (Sr., Corona, Calif.) and Dane Kapande (R-Jr., Evergreen, Colo.) each got an out to help the Pack escape the eighth.

In the 10th the Pack finally relented. Kapande gave up a sacrifice fly that allowed the Tigers to walk off with a 1-0 win.

Adler and Beck both reached base three times with a hit and two walks. Welch's 12-game hitting streak came to an end.
