EDMOND, Okla. (February 16, 2020) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team fell Sunday, 9-1 against Lubbock Christian on the last day of the Edmond Regional Festival and last tune-up game before Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play begins.
The Pack was limited to two hits and scored their lone run in the fourth inning on a fielder's choice play, tying the game at 1-1 through four innings.
Lubbock Christian retired the Pack in order during the fifth inning before putting up six runs on four hits in their half inning and pulled ahead 7-1.
The Lady Chaparrals added two runs in their next at bat, ending the game after the eight-run rule was reached.
CSU-Pueblo (0-10) will begin RMAC play next week on the road at Dixie State University. The four game series is set to begin Saturday at 12 p.m. in St. George, Utah.
