Â
CSU-Pueblo was within two at 18-16 with 12 minutes remaining in the opening half, but a 15-5 stretch for Mines pushed the deficit to double digits for the first time at 33-21 and 7:19 showing on the clock.Â

The ThunderWolves continued to struggle, while Mines' shooting percentage was in the low 70's before coming down to 63 percent at the break. The visitors stretched their advantage to 23 before settling on a 21-point halftime lead, 49-28.Â
Â
As Mines cooled off in the second half, the Pack didn't give up and cut the deficit to 13 on multiple occasions before finding themselves down by 11, 61-50, with 8:08 left in regulation.
