PUEBLO, Colo. (February 13, 2020) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball will host Montana State University Billings and the University of Sioux Falls in a weekend pod starting Friday at Rawlings Field. The Pack will face the Yellow Jackets Friday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CSU-Pueblo will play the Cougars Saturday at 11 a.m.

The ThunderWolves started the season 2-1 after sweeping its Saturday doubleheader against Emporia State University. The Pack trailed in both games before rallying to defeat the Hornets 3-2 in game one and 6-5 in extras in game two.
Cody Beck (Jr., Brighton, Colo.) led the Pack's offense. Beck hit .455 with a .500 OBP in his first weekend in red and blue. Beck hit a walk off single in the Pack's extra-inning victory over the Hornets.
Billy Reyes (R-Sr., Yucaipa, Calif.) made an impactful return to the Pack's lineup after missing the 2019 season. Reyes batted .364 with a team-high three runs scored. He also stole a base.
Preseason NCBWA All-Region selection,
Easton Adler (Sr., Mead, Colo.) picked up where he left off in 2019. Adler started the season with a .429 average two runs scored and two RBIs.
Mike Gonzalez (Jr., Los Angeles, Calif.) knocked the Pack's lone extra base hit of the opening weekend with a double. Gonzalez hit .300 in his debut weekend with the Pack.
Daniel Abiles (Sr., Gilbert, Ariz.) plated a Pack-best four runs over the opening weekend.
Aidan Welch (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) started the season with a .364. average at the dish.
Gunner Pickett (Sr., Longmont, Colo.) threw 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run Sunday. Pickett now has a 2.25 ERA in his last four starts. He has 26 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched as a starter.
The Pack bullpen shined Saturday. CSU-Pueblo relievers threw 12.2 innings of relief Saturday and surrendered just one earned run. The Pack bullpen struck out 18 batters over that 12.2 innings.
Scouting MSU Billings
Like the Pack, the Yellow Jackets went 2-1 in their season-opening series against Point Loma Nazarene. They finished 33-20 in 2019. The Pack and Yellow Jackets last played in 2015. CSU-Pueblo won that series 3-1.
Scouting Sioux Falls
This weekend's games will be the first of the season for the Cougars. Sioux Falls finished the 2019 season 13-37. The Pack and Cougars last met in 2015. The Pack swept that series, outscoring 36-18.
