Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 1, 2020) - Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball took a 75-56 loss Saturday against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
The Mountain Lions outshot the Pack 45.9 percent to 29.0 percent from the field. The ThunderWolves out-rebounded the Mountain Lions 45-43.
Sydni Williams (Jr., Little Rock, Ark.) led the Pack with 18 points, before fouling out. Williams made a career-best two 3-pointers. She finished with nine rebounds and a block.
Khiya Adams (Sr., Falcon, Colo.) scored 15 points. Adams went 4-of-5 at the line. Her and Williams were the only two ThunderWolves to attempt a free throw.
JaNaiya Davis (So.., Hewitt, Texas) had eight points and seven rebounds. She added five assists.
The Pack got off to a slow start. CSU-Pueblo made just 2-of-15 from the field, falling behind 20-7 after one.
In the second quarter, the Pack roared back. The ThunderWolves used an 8-2 run to cut the Mountain Lions lead to 30-28 at halftime.
The Pack took the lead with the first three points of the second half coming courtesy of Williams. A Williams 3-pointer gave the Pack a 36-34 lead, its biggest lead of the game.
UCCS scored the next eight points to reclaim the lead. They would stay hot and go on tow in 75-56.
The ThunderWolves will continue their four-game road trip with a trip north to face Black Hills State University. Tip off between the Pack and Yellow Jackets is set for 5:30 p.m.
