Box Score 2 JOPLIN, Mo. (September 7, 2019) – On day two of the Holiday Inn and Comfort Suites Southern Invitational, Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball lost to Southwestern Oklahoma State University 3-0 (16-25, 19-25, 23-25) and Wayne State College 3-1 (16-25, 12-25, 25-23, 19-25).
Kyle Meltzer (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) had 16 digs against the Bulldogs, but it would not be enough. The Pack hit .104 compared to a .225 hitting clip for SWOSU.
Lissette Lefforge (Jr., Otis, Colo.) collected five kills in one set.
Brooke Schilling (Jr., Platteville, Colo.) led the Pack with nine kills in the morning match.
In match two, the ThunderWolves became the only team in the tournament to take a set from the Wildcats. They outhit the Wildcats .268 to .193 in the third set.
Grace Jansen (So., Omaha, Neb.) picked up her second double-double of the season in match two with 21 assists and 12 digs. Freshman
Grace Jansen (Fr., South Jordan, Utah) reached double-digit assists for the first time in her career with 13 assists.
Jazzy Espinoza (So., Cheyenne, Wyo.) shared the team lead with eight kills. She also totaled three blocks.
Grace Miles (Jr., Parker, Colo.) also had eight kills and hit .333.
The Pack will look for their first win next week when they compete at the Southeastern Oklahoma State Tournament. The ThunderWolves will face University of Texas Tyler at 12 p.m. Friday to open play in the tournament.
