ALAMOSA, Colo. (April 27, 2019) - In the season finale, the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's lacrosse team won their fourth Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest of the season to establish a new program record. The ThunderWolves rolled past Adams State University, 19-1, in Alamosa, Saturday.

The Pack finished their fifth season as a program 6-8 overall and 4-5 in RMAC play. The previous record for most conference wins in a season was three, which was established in each of the last three seasons. The six overall wins was good for the second most in program history after the 2016 team went 8-8.

The ThunderWolves finished in a three-way tie for fifth in the RMAC standings, but due to the tiebreaker for conference tournament seeding, the Pack will be on the outside looking in. The fifth-place finish was the best in program history.

In Saturday's match against Adams State, Olivia Tener (So., A, Boise, Idaho) led all players with four goals scored. Seniors Taylor Christensen (M, Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Allison Wurscher (A, Tigard, Ore.) both totaled five points on three goals and two assists.

The ThunderWolves outshot the Grizzlies 32-6 in the game.

The Pack got on the board less than thirty seconds into the match on a goal scored by Tener and assisted by Christensen. The same duo also was responsible for goals two and three for the Pack.

CSU-Pueblo's scoring barrage continued into the first half and the Pack recorded goals less than one minute apart on three occasions.

At halftime the Pack led 14-0 and they fired twenty shots on goal in the period.

The Pack maintained control in the second half, scoring five goals on eight shots in the final period.

At goal, Ane Marie Horton (Sr., Long Beach, Calif.) made three saves and faced six shots by ASU.
