PUEBLO, Colo. (April 25, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball's eight-game road trip rolls along as the Pack visits New Mexico Highlands University for a four-game series starting Friday at 3 p.m. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday at 12 p.m. CSU-Pueblo will wrap up its eight-game road trip Sunday at noon.

Pack Notes:
The Pack enters the weekend 20-21. With a 15-13 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, the ThunderWolves hold sixth place in the RMAC standings. CSU-Pueblo went 3-1 against Adams State University last week.
Dakota Popham (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned First Team Academic All-RMAC accolades Wednesday. Popham holds a 3.41 GPA in Exercise Science. On the field, Popham ranks second in the RMAC with 49 RBIs. Popham had 10 RBIs in the series win over Adams State.
The Pack's third baseman also scored eight runs against the Grizzlies. He ranks fourth in the RMAC with 47 runs scored. Popham has smacked 15 doubles this season, third-most in the RMAC.
CSU-Pueblo remains the most prolific strikeout team in the RMAC. The Pack has fanned 375 batters, 35 more than anyone else in the conference. They average 10.3 K/9 innings, 14th most in D-II.
Beau Brieske (Jr., Chandler, Ariz.) leads the RMAC with 96 strikeouts. Brieske is looking to become the first Pack pitcher since Judd Songster in 2001 to strikeout 100 batters in a single-season. The righty ranks seventh in D-II in strikeouts. His 13.94 K/9 inning ratio ranks 10th in D-II.
Josh Dahl (Sr., Glendale, Ariz.) has struck out 79 batters, third-most in the RMAC. Dahl ranks 27th in D-II with 12.55 K/9 inning. The senior has caught 30 batters looking, a RMAC-best. With 175 combined strikeouts, Brieske and Dahl have rang up more batters this season than the entire Cowboys pitching staff (172) this season.
Offensively, the Pack ranks 10th in D-II with 8.6 runs per game. Their 351 runs scored ranks 21st in D-II.
Gilbert Sauceda (Sr., Indio, Calif.) leads the RMAC with a .509 OBP, placing him 29th in D-II. Sauceda has drawn a RMAC-best 35 walks this season. He ranks 22nd in walks in D-II. The Pack's first baseman needs eight walks to tie the RMAC record for career free passes. He has already set the CSU-Pueblo record this season.
Easton Adler (Jr., Mead, Colo.) and
Rion Santamaria (Jr., Yorba Linda, Calif.) share third place in the RMAC's batting crown race. Both Adler and Santamaria are hitting .405 on the season. Santmaria's .497 OBP ties him for third in the conference. Adler leads the Pack with 13 steals.
Scouting NMHU:
The Cowboys hold a 15-27 record overall. They share seventh place in the RMAC with an 8-20 conference mark.
- Auggie Francis ranks second in the RMAC with a .409 batting average. Francis earned RMAC Academic Player of the Year honors Wednesday. He leads the RMAC with 65 hits and six triples.
