PUEBLO, Colo. (Feb. 19, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's lacrosse team continues the season Feb. 20 with another nonconference battle with a nationally-ranked Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference-foe, as the ThunderWolves head to Denver to battle No. 8 Regis University. The game time has been moved from 3 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the site is now Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
Wednesday's game is the season opener for the Rangers, who are coming off a 2018 season where they finished 17-5 overall record and 8-1 in RMAC play. RU made a trip to the NCAA Division II Semifinal last year and were picked T-1st in the 2019 RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Rangers had six players placed on the preseason All-RMAC team and have 10 total returners.Â
The ThunderWolves are 0-1 on the season after falling 15-8 at No. 22 Colorado Mesa University Saturday.
The Pack had five different players score in the loss to the Mavericks, as the road team won the final 33:52 of game clock 7-3 against CMU. The home team came out and opened a 6-0 advantage just 5:05 into the first contest of the season for both teams. The score was 10-0 at the 14:14 mark before seniorÂ
Allison Wurscher (Tigard, Ore.) netted the team's first goal of the season on a free-position shot with 9:14 left in the opening half.Â

Olivia Tener (M, Boise, Idaho) scored twice from her defensive position and added three ground balls with a caused turnover and a draw control.
Ingram added a team-best four draw controls with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. SophomoreÂ
Emily Eller (A, Keller, Texas) led the squad with four ground balls.Â

After the game with the Rangers, the Pack will prepare for their home opener against Concordia-St. Paul, set for March 7 at 4 p.m. at Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
