ThunderWolves drop regular season finale 2-1 against Adams State

PUEBLO, Colo. (November 3, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo wrapped the regular season schedule Sunday, falling 2-1 against Adams State at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

The ThunderWolves got their score in the 37' on a shot by Justine Martinez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.). Kristin Guin (So., Alamogordo, NM) was credited with the assist on the play.

Prior to the match, the ThunderWovles honored three departing seniors who played in their final home games as members of the Pack. Martinez, Rylie Martin (Colorado Springs, Colo.), and Alicia Ramirez (Oro Valley, Ariz.) were all recognized.

Early on, Adams State jumped out to a 2-0 lead after eighteen minutes of action.

In the match, CSU-Pueblo fired 18 shots against eleven for ASU.

Cara Siegel (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) led all players with six shots and two landing on goal.

The ThunderWolves offense continued to attack the Grizzlies defense and after cutting into the lead, in the 71', the Pack made three shots on goal that ASU goalkeeper Corri Zaiger.

Over the final fifteen minutes of regulation, the Pack's last stitch effort came up short with three more shots recorded.

Pack goalkeeper Martin made four saves.

CSU-Pueblo (6-9-2, 5-6-2 RMAC) will wait and see if they land a spot in the upcoming RMAC Tournament.
