PUEBLO, Colo. (October 3, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball
returns home to host Regis University Friday at 7 p.m. and Colorado Christian University Saturday at 5 a.m. Both matches will be held at Massari Arena.
Last Time Out:
The Pack defeated New Mexico Highlands University in four sets (25-22, 23-25,25-11,25-20)Tuesday.
Brooke Schilling (Jr., Platteville, Colo.) led the Pack with 15 kills. She hit .353 for the match.
Pack Notes:
With a 5-8 record, the Pack now has matched last year's win total. They also have a 3-2 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The three conference wins also matches their total from each of the last two seasons.
CSU-Pueblo ranks third in the RMAC with 2.15 blocks per set and 114 total blocks. The Pack's 114 blocks is just six rejections shy of last season's total in 27 matches.
Schilling leads the Pack with 2.53 kills per set.
Grace Hern (So., Omaha, Neb.)averages 5.08 assists per set, while
Kelsey Bell (Sr., Los Lunas, N.M.) dishes out 4.08 assists per set.
Diamond'Nique Young (Fr., Fresno, Calif.) ranks third in the RMAC with 1.23 blocks per set. Young ranks 20th in D-II in blocks per set.
Jazzy Espinoza (So., Cheyenne, Wyo.) averages .096 blocks per set, 10th most in the conference.
The Pack will look to continue its success on home court. Last time, the ThunderWolves were home they knocked off Colorado Mesa University in five sets. The Pack is the only RMAC team to defeat the Mavericks this season.
Kyle Meltzer (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) averaged 4.29 digs per set. Meltzer ranks ninth in the RMAC in digs per set. She also leads the Pack with 16 aces.
