ST. GEORGE, UTAH (October 27, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team finished its road portion of its schedule Sunday, falling 6-3 at Dixie State University.
Pack forward
Madison Jepperson (Jr., Cottonwood Heights, UT) scored two goals, one in each half and
Cara Siegel (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) added a third goal in the second half for the ThunderWolves.
In the match, CSU-Pueblo put up 18 shots, with 13 landing on frame and recorded two corners.
Siegel led all players with seven shots and six of those landing on frame. Three other Pack players put up multiple shots in the match.
Dixie State scored the first goal of the match in the 4' and the Pack offense was sparked and evened the match on the Jepperson's first goal in the 26'.
Justine Martinez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) was credited with an assist on the play on the give and go to Siegel who finished from eight yards out.
The home team took a 2-1 lead in the 39'.
At halftime, CSU-Pueblo had seven shots recorded and two corners.
In the 50', Siegel drove the ball down the left sideline and crossed in a pass to Jepperson who fired a shot that went past the Trailblazer goalkeeper, tying the game 2-2.
The even score was short lived however with the Trailblazers retaking the lead thirty seconds later.
Dixie extended its lead in the 66' and was quickly responded with a goal by the Siegel goal in the 78'.
Just over a minute had passed and DSU again scored to go up by two.
The final goal of the match came in the 83' for DSU.
The Pack offense did not let up however, as they continued to attack the defense and hit several more shots before succumbing to the 6-3 defeat.

Rylie Martin (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished with six saves.
CSU-Pueblo (6-7-2, 5-4-2 RMAC) returns home next week to complete the regular season. Friday the Pack will host Fort Lewis at 6 p.m. and Sunday, the ThunderWolves will celebrate Senior Day and take on Adams State. Both matches will be at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

Alicia Ramirez (Sr., Oro Valley, Ariz.) all will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
