Pack VB welcomes NWOSU Tuesday in non-conference clash

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 21, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball returns to Massari Arena for three matches this week. The Pack will take the court at Massari Arena Tuesday to face Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 6 p.m.

Tuesday's match will be a white out at Massari Arena. Fans are encouraged to wear white to Tuesday's match against the Rangers.

Last Time Out:
The Pack knocked off University of Colorado Colorado Springs in four sets Saturday (25-22, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23). This was the Pack's first win over their Steel & Silver Trophy rivals since 2014.

Brooke Schilling (Jr., Platteville, Colo.) batted down 20 kills, the most by a ThunderWolf in a match this season. Schilling hit .471 for the match and added her fourth double-double of the season with 14 digs.

Schilling leads the Pack with 2.65 kills per set. She is hitting a career-best .247.

Maddy Wisniewski (Jr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had 11 kills against the Mountain Lions. She ranks second on the Pack with 2.16 kills pet set.

Diamond'Nique Young (Fr., Fresno, Calif.) ranks third in the RMAC with 1.21 blocks per set. She ranks 29th in D-II in blocks per set. Young had four solo blocks and nine total blocks last week.

Jazzy Espinoza (So., Cheyenne, Wyo.) ranks fourth in the RMAC with 26 aces. Espinoza's 0.36 aces per are on pace to be the second-most in program history. The Laramie County Community College transfer ranks eighth in the RMAC with 1.08 blocks per set.

Kyle Meltzer (Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) sits just behind Espinoza with 25 aces this season, tied for fifth-most in the RMAC. Meltzer averages 0.35 aces per set. She leads the Pack with 3.94 digs per set.

The Pack now stands 8-11 with a 6-5 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference record. The six RMAC wins matches their win total from the previous two seasons combined.
