CSU-Pueblo stumbles at UCCS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (October 20, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team dropped its first match in two weeks, falling 4-1 to the hands of University of Colorado Colorado Springs Sunday at Mountain Lion Stadium.

CSU-Pueblo forward Daniel Himmelsbach (Fr., Freiburg, Germany) scored his second goal of the weekend for the Pack and third of the season, in the 32', taking a pass from Michael Chism (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) and finishing with the score.

Chism and Dominik Huetgens (So., Halstenbek, Germany) finished with two shots in the game.

The Pack carried the one goal lead into intermission. CSU-Pueblo led 6-2 in shots and had put up three corner kick tries.

Starting the final period, the ThunderWolves allowed the game tying goal less than a minute into the half.

The Mountain Lions took the lead two minutes later and added the third goal in the 55'.

The Pack managed two shots in the half.

Pack goalkeeper Tyler Harvey (Sr,. Las Vegas, Nev.) made four saves against 15 shots by UCCS.

CSU-Pueblo (5-9, 5-5 RMAC) returns home and will finish the home portion of the regular season against Westminster Friday, and will host Dixie State Sunday for Senior Day. Ten ThunderWolves' will be honored in a pregame ceremony against Dixie State.
