PUEBLO, Colo. (October 18, 2019) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team extended their win streak to three in a row after posting a 3-2 win at Regis Friday in Denver.
Vinzent Zingel (Fr., Aachen, Germany),
Daniel Himmelsbach (Fr., Freiburg, Germany), and
Michael Chism (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) all scored for the ThunderWolves.
Chism totaled three points, scoring a goal and an assist.
In the match, CSU-Pueblo scored their goals on six shots including four landing on frame. The Pack finished with two corner kicks.
Zingel led the ThunderWolves with two shots.
Regis scored first in the third minute and the Pack responded in the 11' when
Carlos Espinoza (Jr., Simi Valley, Calif.) fed a pass to Zingel who drove the ball and finished with a one-timer under the crossbar. It is Zingel's sixth goal of the season.
The Pack took their first lead in the 15' when Himmelsbach scored his second goal of the season, after the Pack earned a corner kick and Chism placed the ball high for the Pack freshman to connect his score.
At halftime, the Pack led 2-1 while Regis held a 7-5 shots lead.
Regis momentarily tied the match in the 50' but the Pack offense kept active and regained the one goal lead one minute later on the score by Chism.
Malte Ruether (So., Bornheim, Germany) earned the assist on the play.

Tyler Harvey (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev.) was strong at the net, making three saves against 16 shots by the Rangers.
CSU-Pueblo (5-8, 5-4 RMAC) will finish the weekend Sunday at UCCS. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Mountain Lion Stadium.
