ThunderWolves travel to take on SD Mines and Black Hills State

PUEBLO, Colo. (January 24, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball will continue its four-game road trip with a visit to South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Friday  and Black Hills State University Saturday. The Pack will play the Hardrockers at 5:30. They face the Yellow Jackets Saturday at 5 p.m.

The "Starting Five" - CSU-Pueblo's Top Storylines
- The ThunderWolves went 1-1 last week. They fell to Metro State University Denver, but bounced back with a 68-67 victory over Chadron State. The Pack stands 9-8 overall. With their 7-4 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games, the Pack sits in a tie for fourth place in the RMAC standings.

- Jennah Knafelc (Sr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) sank a 3-pointer with 10.3 seconds remaining to lead the Pack to their one-point win over the Eagles. Knafelc averaged 3.5 steals per game last week. She ranks fourth in the RMAC with 2.1 steals per game.
- Offensively, Knafelc ranks fourth in the RMAC with 14.6 points per game. She makes 38.8 percent from downtown, third-best in the RMAC. Her 2.8 3-pointers per game rank second in the RMAC and 35th in D-II.
-   Sydni Williams (So., Little Rock, Ark.) made 13 of 17 at the line in the Pack's win over the Eagles. Her 13 free throws are the second-most in a single-game this season in the RMAC. She tied a RMAC-high this season with 17 free attempts in that game. Williams leads the Pack with a 72.8 free throw percentage.
- Lauren Heyn (Sr., Penryn, Calif.) returned last weekend after missing two months.  Heyn ranks ninth in school history with 567 career rebounds. Heyn's 89 career blocks ranks sixth in school history. She needs 35 rebounds to catch Katie Cunningham for eighth all-time. Heyn could enter the top five in blocks with 14 rejections.

Scouting SD Mines:
- The Hardrockers are 5-10 overall. They hold a 2-9 mark in RMAC play. South Dakota Mines has lost five of their last six games.

- The Pack leads the all-time series against the Hardrockers 5-1. They have won the last four meetings including two victories in the RMAC Tournament. The Pack beat the Hardrockers 60-50 in the first round of last year's RMAC Tournament.

- Anna Haugen ranks fourth in the RMAC with 7.8 rebounds per game. Despite this,  the Hardrockers rank 15th in the RMAC with 31.6 rebounds per game.

Scouting Black Hills State:
- The Yellow Jackets own a 10-5 record heading into the weekend. They are 6-5 in RMAC play. Black Hills State has lost four of its last five games.  

- Saturday's game will be a rematch of last year's RMAC Tournament Championship game. The Pack won 84-69 to cut down the nets as RMAC Tournament Champions for a conference- record sixth time. CSU-Pueblo leads the all-time series 10-4 after beating Black Hills State three times last season.  

-  Morgan Ham ranks sixth in the RMAC with 14.3 points per game. Ham makes 44.2 percent from the field, seventh-best in the conference. As a team, the Yellow Jackets make 35.7 percent from the field, third-best in the RMAC.
