Box Score CHADRON, Neb. (October 12, 2018) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball dropped a four-set match to Chadron State College (18-25, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25) Friday at the Chicoine Center.
Page Heller (Jr., Vancouver, Wash.) accumulated 27 digs. She now has 380 digs on the season. These 27 digs vaulted her into seventh on the single-season digs chart at CSU-Pueblo.
Brooke Schilling (So., Platteville, Colo.) earned a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. She hit .231 for the match.
Grace Hern (Fr., Omaha, Neb.) picked up her seventh double-double of the season. Hern dished out 34 assists and collected 18 digs. She added five kills and hit 1.000.
Freshman Berkley Hays (Dallas, Texas) had five blocks, including one solo rejections. Hays hammed 10 kills.
Mallorie Post (Federal Way, Wash.) batted down 10 kills. Post hit .233. She had two blocks.
Grace Miles (So., Parker, Colo.) hit .375 wit three kills. Sarah Vang (Jr., Parker, Colo.) led the Pack with two aces. She also had 14 digs.
An 8-0 run gave Chadron State a 14-10 lead in set one. The Eagles ended the first set with a 5-0 run that put away the Pack 25-20.
The Pack trailed by as many as five in set two. However, the ThunderWolves battled back with an 8-0 run to make it 21-17. They rolled to a 25-20 set win.
In set three, the Eagles went on an 11-1 run that made it 14-4, Down 23-14, the Pack would fight back with a 6-0 run. Unfortunately, for the ThunderWolves could not complete the comeback as the Eagles won set three 25-20.
Set four was a back and forth battle that saw both teams trade the lead. Both teams were tied at 22 before the Eagles put together a three-point swing to finish the Pack.
The ThunderWolves now stand 4-17 and are 2-10 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. Chadron State sits 6-14 (4-7 RMAC).
CSU-Pueblo will complete their two-match road trip with a visit to Metro State University Denver Saturday at 4 p.m.
