The ThunderWolves, which came into Saturday with a half-game lead over UC-Colorado Springs Boomers in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings, suffered a 6-1 defeat to the Eagles in the first game before winning the second game 10-3. In going 1-1 on Saturday, the ThunderWolves (17-14, 14-6 RMAC) fell behind UCCS (19-9, 15-6 RMAC) by a half game, after the Mountain Lions defeated New Mexico Highlands and Metro State in RMAC Pod action in New Mexico Highlands.
