PUEBLO, Colo. (May 26, 2026) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball program earned five selections to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as
Caitlyn Cole (Merced, Calif.),
Cali Cole (Merced, Calif.),
Darleen Falcon (Moreno Valley, Calif.),
Madelyn Huerta (Azusa, Calif.) and
McKenna James (Windsor, Colo.) were all recognized for their excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically. Academic All-District honorees are selected by College Sports Communicators and advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced on June 16.
Caitlyn Cole and
McKenna James each earned distinction as CSC Academic All-America finalists, denoted by an asterisk on the official release, and will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
The ThunderWolves' five selections highlighted another strong year for the program both competitively and academically, with CSU Pueblo continuing to showcase success in the classroom across its student-athlete population.
The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes softball student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA institutions. To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes mu meet high academic standards while also competing in a significant percentage of their team's contests throughout the season.
