Leesburg, Va. (December 9, 2014) – The Beyond Sports Network Foundation has announced its annual all-region awards and in the process has selected Colorado State University-Pueblo senior Darius Allen (DE, Pueblo, Colo.) as 2014 BSN All-Super Region Four Defensive Player of the Year and senior Stephan Dickens (CB/PR, Aurora, Colo.) as 2014 BSN All-Super Region Four Special Teams Player of the Year.
The pair led 12 members of the CSU-Pueblo football team selected to an all-region honor. Three players were named to the BSN All-Super Region Four First Team, as Allen and Dickens were named to the defensive team, while Dickens also earned special teams honors. Junior running back Cameron McDondle (Littleton, Colo.) was also selected as a first team member.
Senior center Scotland Coyle (Longmont, Colo.) and junior right guard Gary Dixon (Fontana, Calif.) were named second team offense, while senior corner back C.J. Roberts (Boynton Beach, Fla.) was named to the defensive team and sophomore punter Ken Kester (Fremont, Calif.) was selected to the special teams unit.
Third team members included, senior quarterback Chris Bonner (San Diego, Calif.), junior left tackle Zach Martinez (Redlands, Calif.), junior defensive end Morgan Fox (Fountain, Colo.), sophomore linebacker Seth Brown (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and senior safety Jarrod Lacy (Boynton Beach, Fla.).
The region is made up of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference and Lone Star Conference.
Each college was allowed to vote twice for players in their Super Region. A sports information director and a football coach from the college were given the opportunity to vote. Players that are selected for first, second, and third team all-region are eligible to be selected for the 2014 BSN Division II Football All America Team.
After earning its fourth straight RMAC Championship and fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs, CSU-Pueblo defeated Angelo State University, 52-14 Nov. 29 and Ohio Dominican University 31-28, Dec. 6 to advance through Super Region Four and into the semifinals.

BSN All-Region Selections Regular Season Bios
First Team
Darius Allen – Defensive Player of the Year, All-Region First Team Defense
Selected as an AFCA All-American earlier in the week, Allen finished the regular season with nine sacks (-42 yards) to rank second in the RMAC, while his 14 tackles for loss (-54 yards) ranked fifth in the league. He totaled 43 tackles (22 solo), forced three fumbles (T-2nd in RMAC) and recovered two fumbles (T-8th in RMAC). The senior also added a pass break-up. The senior totaled five or more tackles six times in 2014. He recorded 3.5 sacks (-11 yards) at Sam Houston State University and three sacks (-21 yards) at Colorado School of Mines. Allen guided a ThunderWolves defense to a top 10 finish nationally in scoring defense (4th – 13.0 ppg) and team sacks (6th – 3.5 spg). Allen was named RMAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and earned RMAC Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 15. He is a two-time all-conference selection (2012 – 2nd Team, 2013 – 1st Team).
Stephan Dickens –Special Teams Player of the year, All-Region First Team Defense and Special Teams
Dickens led the nation in punt returns with 20.9 yards per return. He totaled 460 yards on 22 returns. He returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown Nov. 1 against Black Hills State. On the defensive side, Dickens racked up 54 tackles (30 solo) to rank fourth on the team. His seven interceptions led the RMAC and ranked eighth in the nation. He returned those seven picks a total of 27 yards, which included a 30-yard touchdown at Western New Mexico University (Sept. 27). He added five pass breakups to total 12 passes defended and 4.5 tackles for loss (-7 yards). The senior recorded 12 tackles (seven solo), a tackle for loss and an interception versus Chadron State College (Oct. 18). He was named Special Teams Player of the Week twice in 2014. Dickens is three-time All-RMAC First Team Defense selection (2011, 2013, 2014), while it is the first time he earned special teams recognition.
Cameron McDondle – All-Region First Team Offense
McDondle totaled 1,555 yards on 244 carries to average 141.4 yards per game and 6.4 yards per carry. He scored 13 touchdowns on the ground and recorded a long rush of 70 yards. In 244 attempts, the junior only fumbled three times, losing two. He added 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns to total a team-best 1,622 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns. McDondle finished eighth nationally in rushing yards and rushing yards per game, 18th in rushing yards per carry and 25th in rushing touchdowns. He finished the season with eight consecutive games rushing for more than 100 yards, capped by a season-high 227 yard performance versus New Mexico Highlands (Nov. 15). Five times the junior scored two rushing touchdowns.
Second Team

O-Line Bio: All three first team recipients started all 11 games on the offensive line this season on a team that finished the regular season ranked 17th nationally in sacks allowed (1.09 sacks allowed per game). The Pack totaled 197.5 yards per game on the ground to rank first in the RMAC. The line led the way for all-conference first-teamer Cameron McDondle, who led the league in rushing yards per carry and finished eighth nationally in rushing yards and rushing yards per game.
Gary Dixon - All-Region Second Team Offense
O-Line Bio: All three first team recipients started all 11 games on the offensive line this season on a team that finished the regular season ranked 17th nationally in sacks allowed (1.09 sacks allowed per game). The Pack totaled 197.5 yards per game on the ground to rank first in the RMAC. The line led the way for all-conference first-teamer Cameron McDondle, who led the league in rushing yards per carry and finished eighth nationally in rushing yards and rushing yards per game.
C.J. Roberts - All-Region Second Team Defense
Roberts recorded 43 total tackles (30 solo). The senior corner recorded six interceptions (127 return yards) to rank second in the RMAC and 11th in the nation. Two picks were returned for touchdowns (19- and 60-yard returns). Roberts added 4.5 tackles for loss (-17 yards) and one sack (-11 yards). He picked up one fumble recovery and totaled four pass breakups. This is the third time Roberts has been named all-conference. (2013 – First Team and 2012 – Second Team).
Ken Kester - All-Region Second Team Special Teams
Kester earned an average punt distance of 44.7 yards, which ranked third in the RMAC and fourth in the nation. He recorded a season-long punt of 70 yards at Colorado School of Mines (Oct 25), which ranked tied for second as the longest punt in the RMAC this season. His 49 punts were good for 2,188 total yards. Kester landed punts inside the opposing teams' 20-yard line 24 times, placing him second in the RMAC in that category.
Third Team
Chris Bonner - All-Region Third Team Defense
Bonner finished the season throwing for 2,529 yards and 23 touchowns (32nd nationally). He went 196-for-349 (56.2%) with six interceptions and a 135.34 passing efficiency rating. His long pass went for 66 yards. He threw for more than 300 yards twice and totaled four touchdowns in two different games. In a win against Black Hills State University, Bonner was 18-for-21 (85.7%) with 285 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions to earn RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Zach Martinez - All-Region Third Team Offense
O-Line Bio: All three first team recipients started all 11 games on the offensive line this season on a team that finished the regular season ranked 17th nationally in sacks allowed (1.09 sacks allowed per game). The Pack totaled 197.5 yards per game on the ground to rank first in the RMAC. The line led the way for all-conference first-teamer Cameron McDondle, who led the league in rushing yards per carry and finished eighth nationally in rushing yards and rushing yards per game. Martinez was a 2013 All-RMAC First Team selection.
Morgan Fox - All-Region Third Team Defense
Fox totaled 44 tackles (21 solo) and led the RMAC with 9.5 sacks on the year. He totaled 15 tackles for loss to also lead the team and rank fourth in the league. Fox added two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and two pass breakups. He had a season-high eight tackles (Sept 20) at Western State Colorado University. Fox was a 2013 All-RMAC Second Team member.
Seth Brown - All-Region Third Team Defense
Brown led the Pack in total tackles with 74 (38 solo). He forced three fumbles, with one fumble recovery. The sophomore added four tackles for loss (-11 yards), which included two sacks (-8 yards) with two breakups. His one interception was returned 49 yards for a touchdown (Sept 20) at Western State Colorado University. Brown totaled a career-high 16 tackles (seven solo) at Colorado School of Mines (Oct. 25).
Jarrod Lacy - All-Region Third Team Defense
Lacy racked up 57 tackles (33 solo) to rank third on the team. He totaled five pass break-ups and one interception. Lacy added six tackles for loss (-6 yards). The senior safety had a season-high seven tackles on four different occasions. This is the second time Lacy has been named first team (2013) and third time overall (2012 – Second Team).
